So I need to enlarge the handle of my combat bowie to fill up my large man hands. My 2 handle fits me perfect. When pull out my 9 and start chopping my hands start to hurt.

I search "scale liners" and find nothing. Is this something I'm going to have to manufacture in my living room? What size liners would fatten this out to a 2 dimension.

Best Regards.

Flexxx makes some good stuff. Have you tried a 3 finger snap chop? Less shock on your hands

oh yeah, liners. lots of ways to go there

also, wrap the grip in tennis tape, bulk it out, soften it up

You know I think I instinctively do that when I'm chopping with my 2, just to extend my reach, and use the lanyard. But since I've got 9 inches hanging out there I just grab on start going at it, I think I need to modify my technique, thanks for the suggestion, much appreciated.

You know what they say. Big hands...

...big gloves.

I have a set of Flexxx's liners and they make the 9 feel more or less like the 2. I had the same problem that you're having, that after holding the BK2, all the other Beckers felt too skiny in the handle.

Here is a shot of my 2 and my 9 right next to each other.

Flexx makes some good liners, and you could try it yourself. You must have massive mits!

if you find the 9 handles too skinny, try adding a piece of bicycle inner tube -- adds a little thickness and a lot of grip.
otherwise, flexxx liners are pretty nice. (or cut up a pickle bucket and make your own)

plastic dvd cases work well it make handles thicker or Xbox game cases they have a nice green color and they are easy to DIY

Last week I wanted to bulk up the handle of my BK9, so I:

* Put on Camillus grivory scales that came with my LE BK10 (they're thicker than newer grivory)
* Put on some Flexxx liners
* Slid a piece of bicycle inner tube onto the handle

I used it really hard this past weekend and I really like how it is now. Am contemplating trying to find another set of Camillus grivory so I can do the same thing for my BK7, although I kinda like how lively it is in the hand stock out of the box so I probably won't. My Machax will likely get this treatment too though, y'know, if the day ever comes that I can actually buy a Machax :D
