probably like many here, anytime I'm at a flea market or antique market, I'm always looking in boxes of "junk" for old axe heads and/or knives. A few weeks ago at teh local antique mall, I found a 5 gal bucket of "junk tools" for $40. In it was a Plumb Boy Scout hatchet in fair/good condition, a carpenter's hatchet (no handle), 4 or 5 old block planes, a old wood chisel, a brace and several bits from 1/2" to 1 1/2", and several old files that were still in good shape. While orgainzing some gear for an upcoming camping trip, I had a lot of my gear out in one place so I figured i'd post pics of my hawks and hatchets. Enjoy:
carpenter's hatchet, Plumb BSA hatchet, unknown double-bit, and Wetterlings SAW 13.
Cold Steel Norse and Trail Hawk (both stripped and patina'd), forged hammer pol hawk and a Blackhawk (Canada) Hawk.
let me know what you think.
