Today I hiked the spooky trail. I did the section of the Batona Trail in Wharton State forest from the Carranza Memorial to about halfway to Batstow. After you cross over those old railroad tracks it gets creepy for a couple of miles. There's big dead trees that cross over the trail big sections of new pines that make tunnel. Big dead sections. There were some epic mud puddles, and still quite a bit of snow, but it was passable. On the bright side, it's Thursday so I only ran into two people all day. However, I almost killed myself slipping off a big tree that had fallen across the trail, kind of hurts now, and I missed the same annoying turn I do every time I go that way and ran a red light at the same time on the way home; but other than that I had a pretty good day.

Take pictures next time! I would love to see the spooky trail!

I did, I've got to get them developed, then remember that 1 hr development only takes an hour. I dropped my last batch off from my hike in December, then forgot them for a month. :p

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, I did a little experiment yesterday. Just for kicks, I wanted to see if it was possible to run with a full backpack minus tent, heavy sleeping bag(although I had a light one just in case), and food. Now you may not know this, but, running with thirty pounds of gear is no easy task, in fact, I ran about a quarter of a mile, total, not all at once and that was it for that idea. Very difficult.

Just brought my pack in, it was probably closer to twenty pounds, not thirty.

Digital cameras are cheap, and you save buckets on developing pictures. You can print the ones you love and save the ones you like. I highly recommend them.:thumbup:

I like film. Plus Digital SLRs cost a lot of money that I don't have.
