posted in W&SS, but figured it appropriate to post here

added a ~ 15' of 100# accessory cord and a small steel to John's sheath

carrying neck style, same cordage- just added a small plastic ring so it will break vs my neck just in case :)

slipped a ranger band (read inner tube) over the bottom and added a fox whistle and photon light to the front (both are on short tethers connected to the sheath) the light can be used simply by tipping up the sheath and giving it a squueze

on the rear side I added a 1/2 litter MRE beverage bag which packs very flat, two Micropur tabs (enough for 2 liters of water) and two tinder tabs (great little compact tinders!)

this is what would constitute my "base layer" for survival

Hi mtwarden -

Very well thought out - I just caught the little photon light - great idea there.

That may be a good JK to pick up after I get my Bowie.....

Thanks for the awesome pictures -

best regards -

Ps. No more pics of ya skiing in your under-wear though !!!!!

^ skis- nope (slow, slow plodding snow shoes- wifey is the one that covers the ground- my dog fairs pretty good too)
