my hobo stove!!!

Great job on the stove - best rendition I've seen in a very long time.
 
very cool. I am not all that handy so I bought a small wood burning stove for my pack. :)
 
That is a really nice one. I used to make them for fun but I didn't solder the halves together. Yours is top notch. What's the burn time on a fill of alcohol?

it holds 2 oz of alcohol, but i usually put only one... it burns for about 6 mins on 1 oz of denatured alcohol (klean-strip s-l-x)... it boils 2 cups of water in about 3 minutes...
 
i removed the wire going across the wind screen meant for a pot stand and put something else... same setup though... :D
 
very nice - I happened to visit IKEA yesterday, so my next project will be the IKEA hobo
 
nice job - I especially like your use of scrap duct as the wind screen.
