After handling the Spyderco Tenacious and other Spyderco's five times its price, I still love the ergonomics and overall feel of the Tenacious. Maybe someday there will be a Tenacious with better steel... someday.

If you had a choice, what steel and handle material would your Tenacious be made of? I would love one in M4 or another non stainless.

Honestly I'm not a fan of the Tenacious, the ergo's really just don't do it for me, also the hardware one everything in this series has been bad. However if I had to pick the blade steel and handle material from Current Spyderco offering. I would go with their M390, it has not proven me wrong with Their US models. For a handle I would stick with G10 but I need a grippier G10 like their US models. Also I would like the knife to be produced in the US. This knife seems to be a croud favorite. Personally I have been let down by this model/series (yes have handled them all) I'm glad Spyderco is doing great on this series though, they deserve the success.

I plan to buy a Manix 2 because I see it as, quite simply, a better Tenacious. Better steel, much better lock, more jimping, and if you go for the lightweight version, less weight than the Tenacious!

I agree with the g-10 needing more grip. Blade steel, maybe some elmax with the same heat treat as demko uses on the ad-10?

Meh. The Tenacious is a great high-value knife, but it lacks one of my favorite Spyderco elements: The forward finger choil. The front choil is great for "shrinking" mid-to large size blades like the Military, PM2, Manix2. Hell, it's even on the Dragonfly. Again, I don't think the Tenacious, or any of its sister-knives, are bad, but I don't think they offer anything that can't be found elsewhere in the Spydie line.

I didn't really like the feel of the Tenacious in hand/pocket. Not that it feels bad, but not for me!
I've heard people say it's similar to the Para 2 and I don't feel that at all

Here's one way to improve the grip texture.

I love the tenacious. I use them as my work knives right now and prefer a SE. So H1 would be cool. But I know that wont happen.

I would be really happy with S30V too though.

One of the main things that has to be done to the Tenacious is to change those shitty torx/hex screws to ones that don't strip the first time you want to take them out. Then work on smoother opening.

They all have loctite on them. You will have to heat up the standoffs to get them off cleanly.

Nice work, Dodge!

I already have enough knives that fit the description of an improved Tenacious. But I'd be all over a Resilience with an elmax blade from 4mm stock and a stronger lock.
