I have long been a fan of Strider blades and just had to make a few of my own, in that style (Well sort of). Not to worry I Emailed Mick a pic beforehand and let him know about this post. He said go for it.

Made from 3/16" ATS34, Bos HT
Flat grind
Etched blade
6 7/8" Tip to guard 12 1/8"OAL
Green Canvas Micarta slabs
Multi position Heavy duty Kydex sheath
that will accept a Tec-Lok.

There will be more pics at the link.

Doesn't look very much like a Strider to me. A couple of similarities, but that is about it. It does look good though. I like the sheath as well.

Keith,
I guess it looks more Strider-ish. After watching makers get bashed for using other peoples designs gets ya a little gun shy. I think doing an exact copy can be taken as a compliment by the original maker. As others have said before there really isn't a design out there that hasn't been done by someone somewhere!
I really do take exception when people flat out use someone elses design WITHOUT giving the credit due. I have spotted some of my designs made by other makers. Most do a few mods but they are ones I came up with, it's really not that big a deal.

On this one I just wanted to catch a "I'm not afraid to use this blade" right from the get go look.

Looks like a good, no nonsense, heavy duty knife to me. I like it.

Nice knife. I can see the Strider influence, but it looks to be your own knife, not a copy. Looks like a real user knife (my favorite kind). Nice work, Reagan

Similar to the Strider(Duane Dwyer) on the cover of the new TK magazine yet slightly different with your personal style.
Looks to be an excellent fighter. Nice work.

Nice work Robert..., must have been fun! A true user for sure!

Thanks for all of the kind words.
I think whoever winds up with this little fellow will be pleased. That OL ATS34 when it is HT and ground right takes a great edge. I may send this one off to blade Mag. to see if they like it!
