When starting this Knife it was going backwards from the first hammer blow.I ended up with w blade that warped three times from the normalizing process to the grinding and cooling off of the bruff blade to the quench,so I had to start over the heatreat and all went well then The motor on my grinder started jumping and throwing FIRE out the back,Then School got out for the summer and had kids every five minutes wanting something, after the first week or so of this they finaly decided I need to be left alone,Got a new motor on the grinder( a junk yard special ) and the drive wheel center spun and then would not work properly,Got in a treadmill motor and got this situation corrected, and then the bearings went out in my guide wheels and the belt wouldnt stay on the platen got this corrected and then found that I would have to use my 4x36 to flatten the piece that was forged for the center of the handle,Guess what ? the drive belt for this busted and I had to order a new one so I borrowed a friends 4x36 to get the handle finished,Then my pin stock I had gotten was a little(Make that alot )oversized and I had to turn them down 3 times before they fit properly. But its Done I hope I dont have any trouble with the sheath tonight.....To all you new and want to be new makers take it from me Dont Give Up no matter what.Well after all this here it is
Forged Blade of 5160---Blade length is 10 inches----Forged quillion guard of mild steel------Black Walnut and forged 5160 pieced handle over a hidden tang.....
