Of a survival setup. Knife is 9" overall, 4 1/2" long blade, 1 1/2" tall, and 3/16" thick O1, with a strong spearpoint blade. Not too big to leave behind, but big enough to do the job. Pair that up with a Vic Farmer, and my newest sheath design, and it makes a pretty good package. Should be able to handle most cutting chores.

The knife features tan micarta handles, with two hollow pins and one solid pin.

All together in one package.

Spearpoint!?! Did I hear spearpoint? Now you're talking my language!
Nice setup, time for me to rethink things.

Knife and sheath like this will go for $150.00. Vic Farmer not included :D This set is not available.

Now, here I am looking again.....
My only thoughts are:

1. Clip point (of course). Mainly for asthetics, and for poking people.
2. 3 hollow rivets
3. Maybe a tiny bit of exposed steel at the end, for prying, like you
did for machine26's project?

This design and set-up is THE BOMB!
And here I thought your fire kits were the best idea in the world.....

Wow that looks a nice knife John !!!

A while ago a group of survival nuts all got together and voted on what their perfect survival knife should be like, they then merged all the findings and got Charles May to make the knife. It came out looking a hell of a lot like the one you have made there except your handle slabs look like they would be more comfortable !

Great job !!!!!

I occasionally still use the old air force survival knife, because it is so compact and easy to carry. You forget you have it on.
Oh, it also looks cool; I like the sheath desgn a lot.
Plus, it has a wicked looking clip!

This system that you came up with would fit that role, but in a much more heavy-duty way.
Matched up with a Vic or leatherman, and you would literally have your most needed survival gear on your belt.

Now, I'm thinking.... maybe some firestarted stuff in that front pouch?

But, all us cool cats already have John's fire kits in our front shirt pocket.

As I have said before, you are very innovative. I like a pouch sheath better than snaps, but the sheath is fabulous. And a spearpoint-love them. ..

That could all be done.
