I really love the RC-4.Great looking blade but I was wondering about the colors.
Do they come with the OD blade and Tan scales?I think this combination would be really great. It'd kinda look like this........

Keep em coming guys.Great knives.

So get an OD/Orange and a Black one with the scales you like, swap em out and sell the Black Blade with Orange scales, problem solved! :)

the scales are molded to each specific knife so they might not line up perfectly if you do that

The scales are fitted not molded. I.E sanded and ground to match a blade well with the scales. This is not an injection mold. this is a composite-type laminate. Very tough stuff.

That is the exact combo I lobbied for when they first introduced the RC-4, but it was a no-go. I'd still love to see it though.

I wish I could have found a better 2 pictures to splice together.I bet the tan would really pop against the OD green.Tan and green are earth tones. For me anyway,I'd like a survival knife to match my surroundings.

that technically is a no no as well to resale to someone not in original configuration... :thumbdn:
next thing you'll do is marked special or limited or something to rob some poor Newbie who did not know better. IMO I seen it before !

I do like the combo as well :D

i dont think he was suggesting to sell it rather to buy 2 variations and swap scales to make the combination in question, then he would have 2 RC4's

or just trade them with somebody who has a black one, and wants the orange for his
black.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with selling that. A "no no" would be to misinform the buyer...THAT is wrong.

Its important to be as descriptive as possible when selling.

i think youre blowing it up a bit by saying hes gonna go on the try and rip someone off just because someone suggested he sell the second blade.
