My impressions about my first Sebenza

I've had my small regular plain Sebenza for about a week now after never handling one, and I think it is a remarkable knife. It feels very, verry good in my hand, and it is the sharpest knife out of the box that I have. I had concerns about the thumblug after reading comments from those who find the thumbstud uncomfortably pointy. Well, luckily if needed I can open my Sebbie comfortably while applying my usual amount of thumblug pressure to the point of the Sebbie thumblug. Of course, doing so countless times while watching TV or whatever would give me a sore thumb. But I was immediately naturally inclined to open my Sebbie with two hands, with the nail of my thumb pushing the thumblug sideways--not down--for a smooth and very comfortable opening. And when the frame locks the blade in the open position, it sounds so assuringly solid. I fish alot--as much as my wife will let me--and this knife will be my fishing companion. It wiill surely be able to cut the likes of sea robins into bait-size pieces for catching bluefish and the like, and it will clean easily after each fishing trip. This one's a user for sure. I've just got to get a Sharpmaker from Spyderco and learn how to keep my knife razor sharp. Oh sure, my knife will get scratched and I'll just send it to Chris to be refurbished from time to time. There is just one problem though--you can understand how this fisherman now desparately wants a Sebbie in the pheasant tail pattern. I 've got to come up with $380 soon, because my hands are shaking.
