Hey All,
Well, I have my first "real" custom folder on its way to me.
After looking for a number of weeks for one, a beauty popped up on BladeConnection last week.

In this post I will be posting my impressions and just talk in general about it, and I hope you all can also post about your Thorburns as well, and give pics. hah.

Here is a studio pic of the one that is coming my way, and when I get it, I will post more pics of course. :)

I cant wait to get this thing. Its gorgeous

Edit:
BTW, I post stuff like this because I have no real life friends that are into knives, and my wife and two daughters think im insane, so I have no one to share excitement with, or brag to or BS with, so i attempt that here. haha.
So thanks for reading my pointless post.

I met him and bought one at ICCE in KC this past September. Very nice in all details. You will be happy.

Congratulations! There is NO ONE who is more likeable and forthright in this industry (Many equal, yet that's the highest of ranks! ;))

Great knife. Andre is a fave of mine, too. Good value!

Thanks for the replies guys!
Im glad you understand. lol
The tracking says Saturday delivery.
Thats going to be a long couple days.

according to USPS, this is out for delivery today.
Mailman typically comes around 2pm.
I feel like a kid on Xmas eve lol

mailman came just as i was heading out the door to the inlaws, so I didnt really get a lot of time to fondle. lol
I opened the box, well, I tore into the box as fast as I could, and ripped open the bubble wrap, and was awestruck for a min.
Then in to the pocket she went.
I will post some pictures tomorrow when there is much better light, but its true what everyone says about a Thorburn.
This knife is in a whole new class of knives for me personally, and its amazing.

Is it bad to open and close it a million times? Can I wear it out? haha.
Very distinct sound when opening, I like it.

Ive never had CTS-XHP steel, so I will be reading up on it all I can. I was shocked when i saw it for sale and that it wasnt the regular n690 he uses.
Anyone want to give any opinions or knowledge on CTS-XHP?
