My Infi Folders

I finally got my Infi Folders. One of my favorite production folders is the Benchmade 630 Skirmish. That being said, what I really wanted was a Busse folder. I thought that the titanium frame lock of the big Benchmade, would make an excellent platform for an Infi blade. I talked to Reese Weiland at the 2009 Blade Show he agreed do the work. To make a long story short, Reese shipped these to me at the end of last year. The work he did on these blades is excellent. The top knife has a flipper. OK, enough talk. Here's my crappy picture.

I have seen some other Infi folders, but I'm sure I haven't seen them all. If you have an Infi folder, feel free to post a picture of it in this thread. I really want t see them.

WoW! Do those look TERRIBLE! Send them to me for disposal. I'll make sure they don't look so pretty after a while. (YOU LUCKY SWINE)

What was the busse knife that u choped up
What is the total $ spent

"beaverseat". I have both of those knives. I'm divided on using my Rukus or my Onslaught for my next Infi folder. I really like the axis lock. I can open it faster than an automatic.

I am tempted to make a nother one with I bought the onslaught last year for that very thing the first 2m of the blade is way to thin so new blade steel is my next step

The 880 does not stay closed very well in pocket but I never had a linner lock stay closed in my pocket I use the side leg pocket to carry my knives that is why all my edc folders are axis lock it holds the blade shut but the busse lock is a lot like the axis lock so it should hold the blade closed and I love infe

All this money spent come on jerry bring the folder how many more knives do we have to cut up making our own folders

I agree with you that the Onslaught blade is way to thin. How hard do you think it would be, to widen the axis lock or would you need to, if you thinned the scales and exchanched the spacer for barrel spacers?

I think it would be a matter of getting a new locking pin pivot pin and frame spacers but mostly just the tip of the blade is 2 thin I have bent mine a little but it went back but still tripped me out so I stopped using it and went back to my 710 I have been carrying for 6 or 7 years and I have thought about moding that one with infi aswell only time will tell

Very nice i also have one of these  only it's not in Infi. :( You lucky Hog,

this maybe a dumb question.
Would the blade edge be softer because the core metal of the original blade is now the edge??

I don't understean this , where did you get infi steel for the blades ? You got raw steel from Jerry ?

No, INFI is through hardened, so the core and the edge all have the same properties.

He sent his Busse knives to Reese Weiland, who then made these blades from the blade of the Busse knives. Reese has done this for another member here.

:eek:Dayum Hoodstooth!!!! Those are off the Hook:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Where's Randucci. He shoulda sniffed these out by now:p:D

What "original blade " are you talking about , you didn't do what I start thinking that you did ! Is impossible ! Why would anybody do such a terrible thing !

I hate you for doing that ,you and that Reese guy , destroing a good Busse knife ...if you don't need them just send them to me don;t cut and destroy them

Let me ask you - why didn't he make them with that bit of "bladeguard" lining up with hte handle? Is it b/c it'd interfere with the mechanism? It'd given it a squidge more blade and that choil would be just ahead of the scales.

Just curious.

Also - you guys know you have ANOTHER folder sitting in your hands, right??? That handle-area is 100% INFI as well. It might have a hole in an odd place, but it'd save you several hunnert $ for a new blank for your next project. :)

I know some think it's a sacrilege to destroy a perfectly awsome Busse, but my addiction for Infi is out of control. I waited for the Busse folder. I even bid on a prototype. It was out of desperation that I sent my Busses away to be converted into the most awsome folders on the planet.
