So just as I am starting to fall asleep I am looking at the Pauls Hatchet/Ratchet by my bed.

And then it happens. Into my head comes this idea for the perfect big brother for this little hatchet, a Busse Battle Ax!( not too big though)

Lengthen the blade to about 5 inches, have it be double bladed with one blade having the normal grind, and the other with serrations. Make it out of either 1/4 inch or 5/16 inch INFI. Lengthen the total length to about 14 inches or so for more control on the swing. Double D guards so that you can put a Dguard to mark whichever side you use more. Put some micarta on it, or even nukarta.

Just had more trouble trying to concieve of a sheath until I thought, why not just have two blade covers? Then you could take them both off for use, or take off whichever one you need to so that you dont cut yourself on the other for more detailed and close in work.

Well????? Does this sound like a sweet dream or a nightmare to you?

BOTH! It sounds like a nightmare to make. . .but it sounds like it would be AWESOME looking. . .and extremely dangerous! Very Cool!

jerry, DANGER is your middle name, come on and get to work, make us some dangerous toys. swords, battle axes, and fighters!

limited runs of a bunch of cool blades, fun to play with and a good investment!  :D

I don't know about the serrations, but I like the idea. Make the primary grind very acute with a nice thin convex edge, and you've got a winner :D

Something like this would be ideal ;) :

It is apparently the real deal. Here's a somewhat poorer picture of the beast.

Yeah, figured I would post it as seeing as I am too poor to afford to have Jerry make it for me I might as well not deny anyone a good idea.

And it is nice to dream in INFI!
