Does anyone know how to open these things up and remove the SIM card for a minute? It will only call intermittently after I do a hard turn off. Any help would be appreciated. :)

You don't have to open it up, just put a small paperclip in the small hole and the sim card holder should pop out.

I thought for sure I could find a small paper clip but I cannot. I use binder clips almost exclusively. I'm not Mcguyver here. What else would work?

OK BAD VERY BAD!!! I just poked my phone and it says no sim card installed. But nothing apparent happened to the unit. How do I re-install the card. :grumpy::mad:

No. As a matter of fact, initially, I had the phone turned upside down and, I think, I poked out a speaker hole by mistake. :o I felt the card slide out when I poked in the right spot. Now, ... how to get it back in???

Nothing popped out. I felt the card slide OUT but INTO the phone if that makes any sense. Freakin' Apple. I hate this nonsense.

I am not sure that is possible, it sits in a little carrier "drawer" that pops out. If it did in fact fall into the body of the phone, you are somewhat screwed. You will have to bring it in for service, I do not think the case can be opened.

High explosives.

Between duct tape and high explosives, most problems can be fixed.

I really think that YOU need to take this thing in to the store and have someone else to this.

The graphite from a mechanical pencil
A sewing needle
Piece of CAT5/Coax cable

If that fails, hit it with a wrench ;)
You should look into getting a Droid, if tyou phone is already trashed.

The graphite/toothpick suggestions are not a good idea. You need a paperclip, safety pin, sewing needle, etc to do the job without the risk of snapping off a piece of graphite and jamming the drawer. Insert the pin, clip, whatever into this hole :

Make sure what you are using is leaves a little wiggle room in the hole or the drawer will likely stick. Push down and then release, should pop right out.

I took it to the AT&T store earlier. They got me fixed up and everything seems to be working OK now. I guess I pushed but I didn't push in far enough.
