Nice....are you going to wrap the handle with paracord?
I agree. For some reason I just keep coming back to the Izula as one of my favorite knives. :thumbup:This is probably the neatest little knfie to come along in a long while. The name is catchy too!
What did you use to convex the edge? I'm not very experienced at sharpening but i'm pretty good with my sharpmaker.
I used the mouse pad and sandpaper technique then stropped it to shaving sharp.. it turned out great, i was hesitant on doing it on my other knives so i used the izula as a test knife since i could just buy another one if it didn't work out but i came out perfect.... how do you like the sharpmaker? I'm actually looking into buying a sharpmaker after seeing some pics of the quality edges it produces!!!
I love the sharpmaker. the fact that it keeps the angle for you and all you have to do is follow the curve of the blade makes things incredibly easy. at some point i'd like to get the super fine rods and the diamond rods for it. I've practiced on it a fair amount with one of my less expensive knives. i also killed the edge on my leatherman squirt's blade because i have no idea how to sharpen a chisel grind. it's the best sharpener i could have possibly bought because it's so easy to use. after i learn more about sharpening i'll look into getting a lansky but for now the sharpmaker is perfect.
I should look into getting a strop or making one.
The wrap can out awesome. Where did you find out how to make the wrap knots(I know there are a lot on youtube) but just for reference.
I just ordered a Izula too, so I want to wrap it, but after seeing them with the handle - I'm not so sure anymore, maybe I'll go that route.
Thanks for the pictures,
Mike
