Back in May at the Frederick MD Blacksmith show, I saw J Neilson, Deker and Butcherblock, AKA LR Harner. I wanted to talk to J about a bushcraft order, but decided to go ahead with an order for a Kephart. I had had one of J's Jerzee Devil knives before, but was intrigued by his "primitive" designs. He was excited to try out the Kephart design, and added a few rustic touches. This is his pic, not mine. Specs are

5" 52100 blade, cocobolo scales, custom sheath, Paul Long I believe. I hope to get it next week

nice.. congrats... that is a cool looking set up... J's work is top notch.. i would love to get one, one of these days...:)

That is a good looking set up you got there. I am not sure if it is the angle of the picture or the actual blade but it looks long, epically the handle. This is not a bad thing I prefer larger handles on my knifes. Little to much is better than not having enough when you need it.

Congrats silenthunterstudios! I have been amiring J's palm swell bushcraft for more than a year, this one looks like it has similar high level (MS level) of quality. I'm sure I'm not the only one that would love to see some bigger pics. I went on J's site, but didn't see any there. I would also like to hear how you like the knife once you get some time in the woods with it.

Looks great! I haven't seen much of his work. Would love to see more close ups or in-use shots when you get it!
