My sister actually found this one and sent it to me, thought you gents would be interested in the first jacket-tent combo!

That's a great idea....hope someone takes this idea a develops:thumbup: it thoroughly!

I saw this a year or so ago on an ultralight backpacking forum. I would love to see this put into production, especially if made with good quality materials.

So how about you with loads of money make this thing happen and I'll test it for free for ya?!!

That is very cool...new innovations are always interesting at the very least.

My initial concern, of course, is whether it's actually a good jacket and a decent tent. So often these convertible/combination innovations tend to produce sub par results in practice. I'm looking forward to reviews from you after you've gotten a chance to put it to test (hopefully trying the jacket with a pack and the tent in some rain).

Either way; very neat. The gadget-lover in me really digs it whether it is ultimately practical or not.:D

Slick marketing: "Cocoon is neatly zigzagged in tubes on the lowr back portiion of liner, to provide lumbar support when not in use."

It's not a bunch of retarded looking lumps in your coat. It's lumbar support. :D

That's an awesome idea. I love multi-purpose gear.

But... How do you wear it after a rainy night? "The tan sil nylon is wet, so I'll wear the blue on the inside. Wait... That's wet too!" <hed esplode>
