I finally got my first Jag in the mail yesterday from OneStop[KNifeShop, and I looked at it closely and noticed it had a number of what appeared to be smash marks, and the silver paint was peeling and the copper was showinh, what if anything can I go about this, or should I suckit up and move on?

Don't settle for mediocrity.

That is one of the problems with buying something online, someone sends you an item in less than the condition that it should arrive in and rather than go to the trouble to send it back, most people just settle for what they got.

Me, I would not only send it back, but really let them know how displeased I was with their service.

But that is me

If you get no satifaction out of them, let them know that you are going to post your disatisfaction on Blade forums.

If nothing happens, use the knife until it breaks the pins or falls apart, and then save the blade.
I'll buy just the blade or broken knife from you for $5.00 to $10.00 depending on the blade's overall condition.

Or I will rebuild the knife with new hanldes for a reasonable price.

I just noticed the pins are insanely loose, and the latch wont stick, do you know who I talk to in 1sks, or the adress I send it to?

If you'll look over under the for sale forums menu here at bladeforums.com, you'll find a whole forum of, by, and for One Stop.

Please bear in mind that the fine folks at One Stop do not make this knife, they just sell it. Keep in mind that they did not, I'm sure, deliberately send you a sub-standard knife. This was doubtlessly a simple oversight on their part. If you have never made any mistake in your life, then you can jump all over them for this one. But, otherwise, I'd simple and politely return the knife with a nice letter explaining your issues. I'm sure they'll replace the knife or refund your money.

I have two words for ya':

If you're not happy with the knife, return it.

......... ok, so maybe it's not two words.

getting 'em open
is half the fun!

I really don't want to go through all the trouble of shipping it there back blah blah, and what if they get mad at me amd make me wait extra for my 42, can't have that happen. Id there any way to tighten the pins and latch by myself?

Heh Heh Heh. Worry not, My Jag looks like that too, and it's only been in service for a very short time. The floor and the furniture here are quite hard.

Hop over to the 1SKS forum and tell 'em what's up. They'll do you right. And no, they won't get mad at you and hold up your 42. They got style, but they're probably pretty busy right now with the blade show coming up and all.

Do Clay's pin fix and get back in there!!
