I'm in LOVE... this is my new favorite kershaw... it's like the perfect hybrid if utility knife and skinner....

it's sharp as hell, and seems to be better than the Speed Bump on all the places where i saw room for improvement

The clip is great... not too big, and shaped great. The blade looks like it'll be MUCH easier to sharpen

i guess the ONLY negative is that it doesn't have speed safe, but it's such a fast flipper that i can live with that :)

Thanks for for getting me excited without a picture =D. I here good things about this knife sounds like they are true

The JYD ii is an excellent knife (Especialy the ones with the composite blades) and should make an excellent EDC knife for many years to come Kershaw QC is top notch these days.

I'm a big fan of the JYDII! I really love the blade shape, and the handle fits perfectly in my hand. The clip is great and feels good while using the knife. I'm thinking of picking up another in case they ever go out of production!

Thomas said that the composite blade is the only one left for 2012.

I just got a couple in the mail today too and I love them as well. They're a very nice size...just a little smaller than I thought, which is good. The first JYD is quite small compared to what I thought it was going to be.

Actually it would be cool if you could put the standard clip from the Skyline on there.

i don't share your negative opinion of the aesthetics, but much more important, this thing came SCARY sharp

it's sharper than any other kershaw i've owned it feathers paper finer than anything other than a disposable razor

if they could make a mechanical sharpener that would put that edge on knives, i'd buy one.

The grey G10 with rivet detail, a la the original JYD, is the neatest, although it was apparently only available on the 'blem' market. It, like my black regular production JYDII, has the CB - both came sharp. I reserve 'scarey sharp' for the Ti/SG2 JYDII production model I bought some years back - as well as for the subsequent 'blem' version of that knife that I purchased. Super bargain! They unseatted the CB versions for EDC.
