I really enjoy using these for whittling, the reshaped blades are good for detail work. The big blade is thinned out some, and works good for the larger work. The pen blade gets into places the others don't.

Don't give up on broken knives. They still have soul.

eveled, I agree, but would go further... ALL weapons have souls, regardless of type... It's just that we are more prone to carry, and use knives more often, than weapons/tools of other types... Now, with the Second Amendment gaining ground in many states, as in concealed or open carry, we'll see more of a leveled playing field, vis-à-vis many local, state, and national laws...

Your Ka-Bars are treasures! Glad to see such TLC accompanying their continued use!

All the Best,

Just added this one to my kit. For the bigger cuts. Anybody know it's model number? Or anything else about it? It's a super nice knife, tight, good snap, brass liners. View attachment 947324
It's bigger than the 1026 knives.

I thought it was teardrop shaped, but I've been told it's a "sway back jack". "Loomfixer" pattern.

Good Evening, eveled!

Beautiful knife! Reminds me of a much lesser known knife and brand, Barlow, which definitely shared similar looks and basic plan... As I said, you've got a beautiful knife, what I refer to as an "heirloom..." Some things really do gain value and appreciation over time, and you have tapped into the zeitgeist! Thanks for sharing!

Stay safe and well,
