These are a pair of knives from Kyle Gahagan, the Vest Pocket Fighter was an ordered knife that he delivered to me and the small semi-integral piece was one that had been spoken for but the buyer opted for a different piece in the end.

This represents the sum and total of Kyle's Feather-pattern Damascus output, the only billet he ever made. Beautiful form and superb sculpting of some fantastic burl Ironwood, Koa on the smaller piece.

Homerun on both. I have got to get a feather Damascus Bowie someday. Nice score.

Woooo doggy!!!! I am somewhat agnostic when it comes to a lot of feather pattern blades, but I REALLY like it when properly done with crushed W's. That's a pretty decent for a first effort........so do I win the understatement off the year award? :D

Yes, and you may not see anymore for a longtime, if ever, from Kyle....he told me he thought he'd forged a billet large enough for one of his BIG Persians but this was it....he said the 'waste' was too much for the time, effort and materials he'd put into it. ;)

LOL. What complex damascus pattern doesn't involve a bunch of waste? I would like to get the recipe. :p
