My Kephart, the desert and my daughter

I just got back from the desert with my youngest daughter (Cheyenne, 12) and we had a fantastic time hiking and enjoying 75 degree weather. There is definitely a quiet and calm out there. The Kephart got the nod for this trip. This is the Kephart that was left over after an intense feeding frenzy and I came in late to the party and bought it. I just love it! Anyway, I'd thought I'd share a few pics...

I still haven't made it to UT yet! Maybe my next time home to the States :) Looks like a fun trip with beautiful landscape. Thanks for sharing!

Vary cool. Love the cornflower blue handle.

Arches? Moab and Arches is a nice area. You should check out Goblin Valley and Little wild horse canyon. Also quite lovely. If you go down, camp in the BLM land between the two sites.

Good looking knife and nice pictures. Bet your daughter had fun.

Love seeing pics from different states. Especially that show landscapes or region specific features.
Thanks for sharing. Nice Kephart, that blue looks good fo sho.

Great pics! I love the kephart!! Out of all the fiddlebacks I have tried, the kephart surprised me the most. What a great profile. That one looks great out in the desert!

Hey, thanks guys for the compliments and comments. I really enjoy getting outside as much as I can. It was certainly much more fun with my youngest daughter, who of my three kids, loves the outdoors as much as her dear old dad. Of course, taking along a trustworthy knife makes it that much more enjoyable.

Heber, arches it was. I'll take up your recommendation and check out Little Wild Horse Canyon. Haven't been there yet. Thanks.

I miss the desert! We used to visit far more often but haven't been back for a few years. The Kephart is amazing but nothing is better for a dad than time spent with a daughter; it will pay off for generations.

It's pretty amazing.

Capitol Reef NP is also a must see (along with Bryce and Zion, of course).

Sorry to bust in. I don't have a Fiddleback, but it's on my short list. Didn't mean to intrude on your forum without an intro.

Welcome, raindog, it's a great place whether you have a Fiddleback yet or not.

Thanks for posting the pics and celebrating your daughter!

Great pictures hiredgun! Looks like a wonderful time with your daughter and the Kephart.
