Ill preface this post by saying that I am bored tonight... so this may be a ramble.
Buck fever....I started my collection with a 112 and from then tried to buy pretty much one of everything and soon realized that capital expenditures were exceeding the fiscal budget
So I have now come up with a strategy of what I am looking for instead on buying what ever comes by my face. I call it the Key Three. Basically I take a model or a line of knives, identify the three main ones that I feel are distinct and try and get the best examples I can.
Here are some:
112: Micarta, Segua and Ebony scaled models,
500 series: 500,501 and 503 with burgundy micarta scales.
500 series(b): 531, 532 and 535
110: A two, three and four dot'er.
110(b): An ATS34, BG-42 and S30V
BuckLites: a 422, 424 and 426 in the original brown valox.
Finger Grooves: a 560, 426 and a four dot 110.
I am considering staring a fixed blade group but cant arrive on the Key Three model numbers. Any suggestion on this or any other groups?
Told you I was bored
