My keyringblade evolution

Hi this is the way I have short out my problem with keyringblades.
First I carried classic or rambler or manager or companion 58mm SAK a lot of uses in little weight and space.Now I carry one on my neckring as backup engraved with my datas so use to as dogtag.

But I wanted some blade ready for use with one hand only, solution any Spydi and tehn I carry my Jester Spydi.
But I had to open after taken it form key ring or kydex shealth.

Next step I decided to try fixblades so ready to use as fast as you take out from shealth, but no happy becouse too big in my pocket.

So idecid to made my own only 2.5" long confortable in my pocket but short handle no to much confortable for real cutting task but open boxes ror cutting ropes.

Next I dicovered WAVE desing, simple and easy, but before to WAVED my Jester and regret for bad resoult I though how to resolve and discovered that another way to open Spidis is caughting tehm by the hole keeping the handle fixed.
The way I made was using a rubber ring as female keeper and landyard as male keeper, this is the simplest way of course you can make a kydex female keeper but as was to lazy.
I´m happy with final resoult fast deployment short keyknife when closed and big enought when open.

im assuming this whole rig is tucked behind a pocket.

its a pretty cool design. do you have a guess at how long the rubber ring is going to last ?
