My Kill Devil Sniper Hawk-KDSH/Grail Hawk Just Came In, Woo Hoo!

Ok here's another KDSH thread, but there's never too much of a good thing.

I just got a bunch of knives in from SYKCO/SRKW and this came in the last box I got over the weekend... I couldn't believe it when I opened it. It's way nicer and "handier" than I thought it was going to be, don't know a better way to say it but Swamp Rat keeps doing that with each knife/tool I get from them. I've gotten new knives where my expectations were high and been let down, my expectations weren't low but I thought this would "normal" I guess and man was I wrong. I also hadn't seen this color combo before and it's also much nicer than I expected, the finish is Desert Sage and the scales are Green & Black G10.

I had some plastic pants planned for this for a while and I stayed up till 2am taking the plans from paper to the workbench, couldn't sleep with this on my mind.. I'm really happy with how everything turned out (hawk & kydex).

VegasBlade: Thanks, I was just looking at your thread... I thought it was funny that 3x threads about the KDSH were on the front page... lots of goodness!

SnakeBreaker: Sure, here's a pic of the back... it looks like leather but all of the strap material is bomb-proof and guaranteed for life (like the sheath ;-) I'll probably make the sheath it's own video but it's FAST, once the snap is undone it comes out and ready for business quick and you can leave the snap undone... no need to re-strap and snap the hawk in place between cuts/task.

redata: Thanks, I made it.... it's something I drew up a while ago and I've just been waiting for a chance to snag the right hawk.

When the box came in my one of my sons opened it to see who it was for and he also told me how impressed he was with it, next time we get out it's gonna do the choppity chop unless I can find a used one before then to beat-up.

Yea man, The KDSH is one i just wont go without.

That sheath is amazing, the design is just awesome and looks quick. I use my hawk for throwing mostly as it flies wonderfully and that type of sheath looks like it would make a great sheath for that. Quick to remove and put back and no worries of it falling out even without the strap connected. Very cool!
