I wanted a "gentleman's knife" with thumbstuds that was light and would ride easily in a pair of slacks to add to my collection. The Kizer Mini Begleiter is almost perfect. I believe this is a BladeHQ exclusive and I got it on sale for $46.99 + tax + S&H. The 154CM 2.875" blade is centered, good sharp grind, and the liner locks up tight. The G-10 scales feel fantastic and the action is good. It flicks open with authority via the thumbstuds when you find the sweet spot. The knife's fit and finish are excellent and the color scheme of the tan with blue pivot ring is very attractive. This is a smallish knife, but it feels good in the hand. In most categories this knife meets or exceeds expectations for this price range. The only problem is the pocket clip. It's not deep carry and it's a little on the big side for a knife of this size. I contacted Kizer and asked if they had a deep-pocket option, but they said no. Too bad, this knife would otherwise be perfect. I like the knife and will put it in my EDC rotation. I got to stop buying knives before my wife kills me with one of them.
