Well, I made a decision tonight that has made my knife shopping and buying a lot easier.
As i looked at my collection, I realized that I DO NOT NEED another black handle knife.

I have thus swore off any black handle knife from being purchased by me.
Easy peasy.

Welcome to the club!

I did just buy a black handled knife though. It was a vintage Cold Steel Voyager. An exception to the rule.

That’s a good idea, but just wait until the perfect knife for you comes out in carbon fiber or black G10. There are always exceptions I’ve learned, haha.

Good luck!

#No more black blades is my new motto:D I'm tired of all those DLC coated "Tactical" blades everyone is pumping out. I'm sticking to the shiny one's from now on..... maybe:rolleyes:

I haven't sworn off black knives completely, but I avoid them if possible. If a knife I like only comes in black, so be it, but give me a nice, bright red, blue, yellow or orange and I'll be much happier. I'm quite thoroughly low-speed, high-drag and I'd much rather my knife be easy to find if I set it down than ideal for deanimating sentries.

I have also been swearing off black handled knives. But if I find one I like, I know I'll buy it. But I tend to want some sort of color now.

i guess im not the only on on this boat. haha.

To those that like black handle knives, im going to kick off this new mantra of mine by doing a black handle knife GAW, haha.
Keep your eyes posted for my black Ka-Bar Dozier GAW in the next day or two, ill never get it together tonight.

Whelp, you guys were right, its not as easy as it sounds.
I already find myself arguing with myself hahaha.
Like this example...

I have too many black knives but always want to get a deal, so I will bend and go with black if it saves me $$$. Same if I want to try a new model and a black one pops up on the exchange.

I impressed myself earlier this week when I paid a few more bucks and went with a couple of Manly knives with both in Camo scales.

Was anybody else expecting thinking this was about somebody getting divorced?

That, lost job, baby on the way, or any number of big long time expenses. Even a I found my Grail knife, that last a few months, maybe before the knife buying starts up again

I've been on that train a minute or two myself, bud. I choose "other than black" every opportunity I can. That said, I still have a dump truck load of black knives. I could probably spit and hit twenty of em.
