The larger one is the knife I mentioned in my previous post. It's made in China, with me for more than 6 years. It's been used it to cook almost everyday, chopped different stuffs include ribs and bones. Never been sharpen but still sharp enough for ordinary use. Slide through meats with skins easily.

The little brother in the pic is my new pet, a spyderco delica 4. And his sister, a Ritter Griptilian is just on it's way home now:D.

Congrats on the buys! I'm glad to see that you chose two great knives! Are you a professional chef, or an at home cook?

Sentiment aside,I don't care for Chinese knives. The other two are good choices.

I love my chinese kitchen knife. My grandfather owns a resturant as well as a chicken farmer in Hong Kong. That the kind of knife that he use for everything from cutting veggies to butchering chicken to protecting the house. Dirt cheap too, i got mine for 15 bux CAD.

yup! couldn't make decisions which one I like more. So just take the advice to purchase both:) .

I am not a professional chef. I just love to cook:D

I have a Chinese style cleaver that I got from my father. It is probably 50 years old and just as sharp as a razor. I wouldn't give it up for anything.

Glad to hear that:) I love Chinese style knives too. Very practical.
