So guys I just made this knife but that's not the point. The point of this is, I'm thinking about making more and donating the profits to different charities. My question is, is the quality good enough to turn any profit. Not looking for appraisals and not planning to sell anytime soon just want to know if I made more could I make profit to donate. Also, what blade styles and lengths are good for a beginner like me, I did this without annealing with a skill grinder that you hold in hand and a belt sander. Mods if this belongs elsewhere or violates any rules please move it or end it. Didn't try to violate any rules.

I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I like it. What steel & wood did you use?

As far as size, I like 5" to 5 1/2" fixed blades with an OAL of 10-11" made of 3/16" stock a lot. This is a nice size for pretty much anything short of felling trees and cabin building; big enough for serious work but still light enough to not be like a brick hanging from your belt.

I would say that like me you're on your way, and that you should keep it up and gone your skills 👍

Nicholson file made sure not to heat it too much in grinding. The wood was a small log I found while "car camping" one side is significantly darker.

I'll have two more knives of practice before I start the ones to sell. Gotta make my mom a Mother's Day gift and stepdad a Father's Day one

That's pretty much what I was doing, but have now shifted to my non functional miniatures because I have a plethora of 16D nails.
And I ran out of worn out files.
