Fellow Forumite Richard Rosvall asked that I shoot some pictures of the stuff that I've made.

These knives are sole-authorship, all forged to shape, and the sheaths are wood-lined with an interior of the finest billiard table wool felt, leather covered, wet molded, and hand-stitched.

This knife is forged from a chainsaw chain and 5160, guardless, tapered tang with checkering on the spine, 7" blade flat-ground to a 'zero bevel', and Bocote wood scales with brass pins........

This knife has a 3 1/2" blade of 5160 and L6, 80 layers with a single twist, soldered stainless guard, and a Bocote handle (I wanted the Damascus pattern to match the grain in the handle). The sheath is wood-lined and sharkskin covered with rope-pattern stitching....

Here are some more pics of these knives and a couple of others that I've made. Please excuse some of the pics as I'm going to re-do most of them........

Dudley I really like the handle treatments.......very clean and elegant and the slim 7" blade model is an eye catcher for sure and the sheath work is very understated matching the nuiances of the knife well.....very well. I like the whole package very much. larryd

Both are very nice. I really like the little one. The damascus looks great, the overall shape is pleasing and the sheath is excellent.

Great designs, beautiful materials, excellent sheaths. Glad I asked, thanks for sharing, and don't be shy about posting any more!!:D

It's means a lot to me coming from all you guys! No one has ever seen the knives I've made, except for a couple of friends, and I appreciate all the kind words. :o

I've got several more blades ready for handles, a couple to heat-treat, etc., etc., etc..... but as you all know, there just isn't enough time in a day/week/month/and so on........:(

I'll post 'em as I finish 'em but it might be a mile or two down the road.........;)

Thanks again,

Dudley

Chrips !!! The guys got nice knives and TALENT!! now I really dont like him.;) Both are beautiful but the second one really strikes me...Great work Sir..

Dudley,

I'm blown away. Those knives are awesome. It's one thing to see the work of a known, established maker in here, but it's quite another to see the work of a relative newcomer and have it be as impressive as these examples seem to be. Have you spent a lot of time at the forge?

I particularly like the top one. Is that a temperline I see?

Wow.

Wow. Some great looking stuff there.
Congrats Dudley - that work looks great!

Wow. You've been holding out on us. Pretty impressive work.

My hats off to you.
