As a recent knife addict I've been browsing these forums a lot, always soaking in new information, always trying to learn. I enjoy reading all threads but most of all I enjoy looking at pictures. I've seen it compared to porn before and it's true. There's something about knives that's sexy and exciting.:D

Well, I felt like showing my collection to you guys. Please feel free to comment on my "girls" and also post pictures of your collections below.

At this early stage I can still remember why and where I bought each knife. I like carrying knives because they're very useful and also because evolution removed my claws. From top to bottom:

1) BM Mini Nitrous Stryker: my first quality blade. Over payed a little bit for it (around $140) because I didn't know any better.

2) BM 940: slim and classy, I bought it to carry to work. Got a decent deal from an online vendor for $125 plus the BM torx kit thrown in for free.

3) The Beast: well, what can I say? I'm sure I don't need to explain the reasons why I bought this knife in this forum. It's priced the same everywhere and I got it for $399 from a local gun shop. One problem with this knife is that I don't feel like carrying it much because damaging or losing it would be so devastatingly sad.

4) SOG Trident: I wanted a big cheapo knife to learn how to sharpen blades. Bought it from a local store for a very decent price, $30.

That will or could be a problem as you buy more knives. Get up into the mid-three-digit figures and then try to remember where each one is from. ;)

My point, it's never too early to start keeping a record of your knives. My three-year-old son is starting his first knife record book today.

Welcome to BladeForums!

you have some nice ones, nice zaan, :D and no spydies???? ;) you should check those out i think you would like them, and carry that zaan! use it too. if you manage to break it it is covered, and with that well designed pocket clip i doubt you would lose it.

That' s a VERY good start, good luck keeping track of all your knife buyings when you get as addicted and sick as we are;)

Nice collection! But I have to agree with gundude, you should add a spyderco to that mix :D. Might I suggest one of these:

Trust me you will NOT be dissapointed!!!

Thanks for the comments, guys. Apparently you and I agree in one thing: I DO need more knives!

@dslteck: that's a beauty, which model is that?

Recently I'm into thicker blades (between 3 and 4mm). Suggestions?

That is the Manix2 you can pick up for about $80 and it's American made :D

You can never have enough knives my friend. Welcome to the addiction! Too many blades, never enough money.. That knife in the picture would be the spyderco Manix. Never handled it myself but I have owned LOTS of spydercos, paramilitarys, military, endura, delica. I HIGHLY recommend getting some spyderco knives, Almost everyone on here will agree with that.

One thing I worry about is the build quality. My other addiction is smartphones and Nokia being my favorite brand (due to its many features), I'm tired of (and used to, sadly) paying top dollar for less than top build quality.

How's the build quality on the Manix 2? I HATE blade wiggle.

I can't make it wiggle, like with gloves on jerking blade around it still feels super solid.
