My first big score was getting to eat some bacon/blue cheese crumbles cheesecake........AMAZING! I'm not joking either.... ... ....I LOVED IT! Thanks Amy, please make it again next spring!  Wish you were there to watch me scarf it down......sure wasn't the same without you there. :( I also took one for the team and helped Eric drink some of the Coors Light he brought for you. :barf: ;) (Just kidding Eric, thanks for the brew bro!) (Amy-0, no I'm not kidding, :barf:) :D

It was nice however to get to meet some of the Busse crew that I hadn't meet before like Pokey, Shorty........and Yvonne, she was really nice.

Nice hanging out with the other Busse geeks too.....we all have a lot in common.....mainly guns and INFI though. Thanks to M67 and dericdesmond for their hospitality and willingness to let me fondle their knives. Eric, I'll take that satin SHSH as soon as you are ready to part with it. I will use it with care. ;) And Mark, thanks for bringing the pregnant dodo, I really wanted to hold that one......and it wasn't as bad as I though it would be.....felt pretty good when gripped high or low.

On to my scores......there was only one plain edged CGFBM there and it had smooth tigerhide scales......I couldn't resist....I made a mad dash for it and got it.....as well as a custom shop hollow ground boss street which felt great in my hand and had a magnificent edge......and then there was the custom shop DSF Bolo variant......by far the sweetest knife in the entire show IMO. I fondled it and gazed into it's soul until I put it in my box......we are now one. :D

Couple pics from the hotel last night....

When I got home I got to take some better pictures of the Bolo DSF w/ desert ironwood scales (I think that's what Garth said). This thing is super light and fast. Deep hollow grind....the edge on this thing is super thin and incredibly sharp.....maybe the sharpest/finest edge I've ever seen from Busse. Sweet Nuclear Meltdown treatment........I think I'm in love.....

Here she is next to my other sexy beast which I hadn't posted any pictures of yet. I'm gonna have to get some nice leather for these two. If anybody has any good ideas for unique sheath/exotic material/carry options let me know. I think I would actually carry these from time to time if I had the right sheath.

Here is a shot of the stomping grounds after most was said and done.

There were a handful of AD's and Meaners that had green linen scales.......I really liked them but the Boss Street felt better in my hand.

I also wanted a FSH but the orange wasn't doing it for me. I decided to hold out for the NMFSH.

Thanks again everybody!  If I talked to you at the show I may not know your forum name, shoot me a PM or friend request.

Glad you had a great time Bro, wish I was there with you!!! Nice freaken haul...Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet SH there as well.

You can only be true to one.
I will take the Nuked SH off your hands.....
Was great to meet you.

Man, what nice scores! One of these days I have got to make a show. Pics of the loaded tables are killin me!

That Ironwood is off the scale, amigo! WOW!!!

Hope Busse does more natural material handles in the future...

That bolo is an amazing knife, really unbeleivable how light it is. And that SHBM, man, that was an honor to hold, thank you Matt for the privilege :D

It was nice to have a couple beers with you.

Thanks for the compliments everybody.....I am very pleased with my results. There was only one that I wanted that I didn't make it to in time........lets just say Eric's Hog Fu is strong.....he's a quick son of a gun.

Glad you had a great time Bro, wish I was there with you!!! Nice freaken haul...Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet SH there as well.

Wish you could have been there too. Wait till you get that knife Eric secured for you........it's a BEAST!

Haha....say it's kinda like cheatin' on my wife? I can only have one? :D It was nice to meet you too Bill. I'll let you know if I ever think of anything I'll trade the Nuclear Steel Heart for.....it would take some serious straight handled goodness I'd imagine. ;)

Matt, great scores, thanks for posting...good grab on the cgfbm....I think most people missed it was there as I had a spy and must have overlooked that one while grabbing be a couple of the "toothy ones" :)

congrats you deserved it more as you made the trek!

J Ps i'm being such a good sport cause I have an AG russell CGFBM with plain edge, bevels and smooth micarta handles ;)

Wow! That DSF bolo variant is off the hook!
Don't think it's hollow ground though...nope, don't believe you! ...You'll just have to take & post more pix to prove it to me!! ;););) :D:D
(but seriously, nice score! :))

Damn, that an outstanding pair of blades you scored. I can't wait till Blade next year as I think it will be the first show I have ever had a chance to make.

The DSF bolo had a pair of Erics waiting to see if Matt would throw it back. It's a unique beauty, and has found a fine home. Great haul; it was good to see you at the trough raid again. I was surprised at how many familiar faces were absent this year -- I think there were only 10 of us in line before the 5:00 PM showing, although a few more showed up later.
