I love this blade it cuts great and I could of bought 3 of them for the cost of my zt350.

I used my Kukri out in the woods today to cut down some alders, split wood and chop some seasoned branches.

I got this from GK&CO anyway some blade they have in ebay have 10 dollar shipping. Next blade will be the Afgan 12 inch model with a more modern handle.

I have used my HI M43 Kukri for years, even having built a couple trappers cabins with it.

The one you have looks like a Sirupati design. Your problems in use are due to your being a bit unfamiliar with it's use.

The M43 is full tang without the handle ring....but you want to keep the bell end on the handle. It aids retention when chopping and the rolling snap cut in use. The M43 also has a thing edge which helps it to really bite into the material being cut.

Overall I have found the Kukri to be the most versatile large blade available for survival purposes.

The more you use one...the more you'll be hooked
