i got the idea from the gun holster guys on another forum...

i just checked out a thread on KF and saw the scissor jack version and im getting ideas lol.
Thats a great setup i think very quick and no fussing with c clamps i like it.
 
That looks nearly identical to an old book press I found in a goodwill last month. I guess some great designs are timeless!
 
Yep, going to build me one of these.

How hot was your kydex? You grabbed it by hand so it couldn't have been much over 120F.

LOL...i am a line cook by day, KydexBender by night :D,it burns but i can take the heat few extra seconds than the rest of you guys.... i have gotten used to it i guess :p and for the life of me i can not work with gloves i have couple pairs and they just sit there...
i think the temp was somewhere bet 250 -270
