Very impressive.

I saw your post in the For Sale area ... and wished, most bitterly, that I had enough gelt to afford it!:D:)

Some lucky fellow will find it and very soon.:thumbup:
 
I love your work, Phillip. It's some of my favorite around here. Always great steel and nice grinds. Was any of that steel produced on your new hammer?
 
Phillip, that is an absolute work of art but then, that is what we have come to expect from your hands.

WOW! That sure beats my last knife of the year! The pattern linned up perfect, absolutly beutiful.:thumbup:
 
Funny story. I saw this up for sale today and knew I had to have it. BUT - I just spent a lot of money on knives YESTERDAY, so I made myself a deal. If I could come up with the cash, by pulling in loans and favors, etc. before the knife sold to someone else, I would take it.

Made a couple of calls, but not really anything to go on. And that's when I remembered: I left a custom surfboard in a place called Mollusk a couple of months ago to sell on consignment. I tried to call them to see if they were around. No answer. So I hopped in the car to check on things. I go in, and no board. Just as I start to wonder what happened to it, the guy behind the counter says "Hey man, your board sold yesterday! I've got a check for you!"

I look at the check. $700. CLOSE ENOUGH!

I head home, log on to buy this beautiful piece, and it's marked SPF - I missed it by 15 minutes. DANG.
