I picked up from the post office today three separate packages containing three awesome knives!
First, and most off topic to you guys, but I'm gonna show it off anyway ... a Martin Olexey F.O.S. This is finally my first "custom" knife after over a decade of collecting knives and amassing a collection worth several thousand dollars (Busse Combat contributed significantly to that). It's razor sharp, ergonomic and compact and fills a role I've been trying to find a knife to fit for some time. I still want a Mick Strider SLCC though.
Next, a Busse Combat satin finished, smooth bolt Meaner Street. This is my smallest Busse yet and it's FREAKIN' AWESOME. I love this thing. The handle is so comfortable and yet not slippery. I have big plans for an EDC rig for this, for the creation of which I hope to employ Stuart Branson. Being my most everyday practically sized Busse, it's likely to see the most use out of my collection, once I get a sheath and get it on my belt.
Last, I got a second Skinny ASH-1. This black on black micarta with an Armorall Leather sheath pairs with my green on black with Mashed Cat kydex and gives me a great mid-sized user, a backup, and variable sheath options. I think the ASH pattern is my favourite for a user oriented mid-sized Busse blade. Now if I wear out one (LOL
) I have another!
Sorry for the crappy pic ... it really doesn't do these justice. The weather is too ugly to go outside for better lighting. Up soon on my shopping list is some manner of indoor photography lighting setup.
I'm really happy with these three, and it's kinda cool to get them all together on the last day of the decade. Nice to leave the 2000's behind on a positive note!
Happy New Year everyone!!!
