Hello . First let me say that it s your fault I start to make some knives  Now , I have no idea how I come to this knives forum /I forgot, long time follow as a guest / but I have no words how to say what are you guys doing here with steel . I admire all of you . I am a car mechanic , and files, hammers and angle grinder are familiar to me . I made a couple of knives so far and here are the last two knife that I make . All is handmade , file and sand paper , except for cutting blanks on angle grinder . One is from very old Nicholson file, the second is from SKF ball bearing steel. This one from SKF is sandblasted and then hard chrome , pins are stainless steel . For handle I used some ballistic Kevlar . HT is done by the book from professionals in digital controlled furnace.
And I'd like to hear your opinion about this knives :)

And these are my first two sheaths , one is from inside covered with Kevlar cloth and need a little more touch up . .. . I used fishing line / 150 lbs. spectra braid / for sewing ...... I like fishing too :)

I like them - nicely done . Prefer the smaller one too but that doesn't detract from the other. Good work.

Nice work! I like the smaller one best also. I especially like the 5 pin pattern on the scale. Is there any significance to the pins?

looks like I will join in agreement about the smaller knife. Glad you are enjoying your new found skills and hope you post more in the future.

Thank all you for your comments, I'm glad that you like it.
TexasWade , nothing special about pins , I just wanted to be different .This knife was a gift for my brother , but since you mentioned that next knife that I will make is for the 18 birthday of my son. Nine pins back nine forward would be great idea

Knive fever ...... I got a bit of different steel and and materials for the handles

And now I have a problem  my son wants one just like this . Just a little larger . And here I am..........starting a war with carbide with my hands and sandpaper :victorious: And , it will be a long war................ This is blank from HSS- E steel or ......M35 steel , probably more than 65 HRC , because I cut it from the circular saw blade with thickness of 2.5mm . Any idea how to drill holes for pins ? I destroyed all my carbide cutters on last blank from M2 steel .And I'm starting to think to purchase belt grinder........... :grumpy:

Handle is hand-rolled carbon ... :) And I'm really proud with this knife , I've done everything ....from ball bearing to knive ;)

Very nice work. I'm a tad envious of your skills. Like your daughters knife. Your English is pretty good too. Dozier
