I just received this 18" chitlangi from Ms Yangdu just the other day. This one sharpened easier than any other khuk I've owned, for whatever reason, and as is typical of this stlye is very fast and vibrant.
Here she is as a whole;
The wood on this is truly stunning, and I couldn't get the camera to truly duplicate what it looks like in person. it seems to have a sort "depth" to it, almost like flamed maple would in a way. It has some truly interesting patterns, like there might have ben some knots in the wood 3 inches off from where the handle wood was taken. two large strips cross the middle, and several swirls and dark spots towards the thinnest part near the top, all leaving a beautifully figured and 3d looking handle. Coupled with polished brass bolsters and caps, it truly gives it a "regal" look.
And here are two pics of the handles and kami marks [not sure which kami this is but it is excellent work].
Thanks for looking everyone!
As always, my thanks to the kami's, and to Ms. Yangdu for everything she does both for us buyers and the Kamis too.
