I have done many reed knives before but except for the first one I've done, I didn't take a photo of them. The latest batch had 2 reed knives, I've completed them 2 days ago and I've been working on their sheaths and a paring knife for a good costumer. Now they all went to their new homes and I'm relaxed finally. Time to take some days off and enjoy life :)

One of the reed knives is designed for a woman musician, it has relatively slim handle but the blade is somewhat same as the male version of it. Steel 4mm thick RWL34 ~60 HRC, zero ground 22 degree angle, right handed chisel grind. Handle is mortised with a SS pin, wood is Black Walnut.

The paring knife, RWL34 58-59 HRC, slight convex edge, green-black linen micarta, SS pins. asymmetric vine filework from spine to the bottom of the butt. I wanted to make a filework that is looking natural not engineered, so I tried not to repeat the figures, beleive me that was much more hard to do comparing to measured and symmetric vine fileworks. Here it is:

Wow I love that paring knife!!!! The filework and handle look very elegant.
