I just got a couple jobs for rebuilding buck 110's and 112's. Reconstituted turquoise scales with red liners, 2003 blade and some modified vine pattern filework put the icing on this cake. What do you think?

The file work is very nice indeed. What is reconstituted turquoise? Is it synthetic? I like the red spacers too.

Filework is super, as is the red spacer/liner.

Why no red on each end?

All of the work makes for a very nice 110! This is an example of filework that really looks nice and not gaudy or overdone. The blue looks good with the bolsters as well.

Hello all, and thank you for your kind words. I like the filework too, some of my best I think.

Willthebarb, reconstituted turquoise is crushed turquoise that is mixed with resin which makes it easy to work with regular tools, which means there is no need for lapidary equipment to work the stuff.

Maverick, I'm afraid this one isn't for sale. I have sold every decked out 110 I've done. I figure it's time to keep one :). I can build a 110 to your specs though.

Pack Rat, I see alot of people using the fiber on the ends, so I didn't use fiber on the ends to make it "different".

Excellent work. I like the filework also. I had just asked a question about "re-constituted" vs. natural in another thread. Usually, I don't really like "re-constituted" stone but that looks super.
