I'm a big OPK fan so I'm on a bit of mission to pick up a good few over the next while :)

The Mountaineer 1 and 2 are probably my favorite of the lot so I picked up another Mtnr 2 to keep minty fresh for the collection.

Now that's a real fine looker, I likes it lots :p

PS. it must be raining where your at ;)

Thanks much folks, those mid sized OPKs are defo. the ones to go for :)

Yes, it was raining yesterday but of course it's a lovely sunny day today

MY favorite is also the Mountaineer (the larger one). Very nice size and weight, excellent camping knife. I don't like to keep them mint though. In my book, OPKs are meant to be used hard ! :D

Got my Mountaineer scratchy, coating is almost gone here and there, but I'm very proud of those battle scars. What I don't understand is the pointof the blade. It's not ridiculously thick, but I have never chipped it in any way. May be the softer steel makes the point a bit springy ? Or perhaps it has something to do with the geometry of the point ?

I agree these knives are made to be used and they are great out in the bush or even in the kitchen :)
I've got a user set of Mountaineers already so I really just got this one as a keep sake because
the OPKs will be getting real hard to find and probably expensive in the comming years.
