Here are some more pictures of the four combat knives/choppers.

Was a great learning process to make four similar yet different knives. Thanks for taking the time to look.

Super nice job Thor - Love the filework - Is that black wood or highly finished Micarta on the last one?

Where do I send my check to? :)

Wow. Those are chopping beasts ! Aggressive and mean looking , I love them both.

A very nice custom take on the bk-9 I must say.
Awesome man!

Thanks. Appreciate that. Tried to add some new spins on that style. Still early days for me but I was quite pleased how they turned out. I learnt a lot along the way.

Those are awesome blades. Very nice. If ever you decide to sell some, I think you would do well.

One day. One day. I am still learning and developing. I'm giving these to friends, who will test them and tell me how they worked out. Made a few mistakes but they turned out the best I've managed so far. Give me a couple of years and might come and really shock you.

Thor, I am just blown away with the design and execution of your blades! If this is your early work...:thumbup:

Well I make butchery knives as my job - which is a bit boring. But I've only been making custom type knives for a bit of fun for the past six months. I've given all of them away as gifts to friends so far. I still don't think they match up to some of the guys here.

Can I be your friend? :D

Seriously though, if you ever decide to offer your knives to the public, I think there will be a lot of people beating a path to your door.

This one with texturized G10 scales would be awesome. I love the two-tone blade finish and the exposed birds-beak pommel. Only suggestion for this size chopper would be the addition of a lanyard hole on the spine just in front of the grip. You have an awesome future before you. Congrats!

Thanks. I really appreciate your kind words and your suggestions. I see these a bit like intitial sketches of what I'd really like to do but I need to try out new things and perfect what I am doing. I keep learning and I love doing what I do. I'll try out the additional lanyard hole and see how it works out.

Time to quit making butcher's knives and start making collector's high end merchandise - in your own good time of course.

Not quite sure what my Dad would say as we are a family business but I sure intend trying to make more custom knives from now on. Me and another young maker I went to college with are trying all sorts of things. We'd love to try to make a folding bowie. I've got some pictures of a few but they don't have enough detail. If anyone has some good references it would help us work out how they work exactly. We can probably guess but all hints and help appreciated.

I'll be back at some stage to share my next attempts.

Thanks for your comments.
