I came across this one today at a swap/flee market. I'm not up on the 500's but I like 'em. I've noticed that on some 500's, the stamp is written and on some printed. Does that have anything to do with years? Also not sure on what the the scales are made of. Looks different then my 110/112's. I might just carry this one for a while.

 ...Beautiful maroon micarta 500 MichC...60...Actually I think they called it "red buckarta" when they made 'em IIRC...They made 'em from about 1979 to 1981...Great find...I think they switched from "script" lettering on the stamp to "block" lettering somewhere around 1984...

Thanks for the info DarrylS. Didn't think it was that old. Might check into these a little more. Neat smaller knives.
