here's my latest forged blade. it started out at scrap 5160. the tang is almost 1/4" thick and the blade is about 4 1/2" with an overall length of about 9". i've got the tang drilled so i can put a handle on it. i'm thinking about G-10 or micarta. it's black because if the heat treatment. not sure if i will give it a vinegar bath like one of my tomahawks or if i will polish it up.
