Here's a new framelock I just finished for a customer. I hope he likes it. The blade is 3 1/4" long, CPM S35VN, 7 1/2" overall opened. I really like this design and I want to give it a name. Suggestions? Thanks for looking.

Thats really nice Ray, another good looking folder!
You could call it the Barracuda, it has a similar sleek profile!

Thanks for the comments. Barracuda sounds pretty cool. I just posted a video on youtube.

Nicely executed, Ray. It reminds me a lot of my Emerson CQC-7A without the "wave" feature. I'm not good with names, as you'll see here: My first thought was "Towhee"...probably due to the orange scales, sharp beak and fast movements.

How about "Baltazar"?

It was my late grandmother's cat name. He was orange and silver. Somehow I reminded of them both when I saw the knife... (Yes, I'm weird! xD )

This is a very nice knife Ray! I've always loved the clean lines of your work, since my very first one (the linerlock #2! :D)

How can you even think your customer won't like it?!? LOL!!!

Thanks for the pics and video.

Stefano.

PS: I like Barracuda, but this one reminds me more of a Pirana, because of the short lenght... BarraKuda (with K) is a Bird&Trout model made by Koster...

how long have you been making folders now?

and where have I been through all this..

awesome work.. when i get big boy pants I hope to make folders half as good !!!

Simply elegant! I have an Emerson A100 that is bare bones and simple. I would like to order one of yours some day - beautiful work.

I started with slipjoints a couple of years ago. I've been making linerlocks/framelocks for about a year and a half. It's fun and can be addicting.

Thanks all for the comments.

Ray, that's a stunner. Love the elegant drop point blade and subtle ergos of the handle. Proportions look perfect to me!

Hi Ray -

Very nice knife! The video is a great idea, also.

When I saw the knife and the blade shape, the name "Speedster" came to mind.

best regards-
