So, this knife is all done!
You have likely allready seen this knife before, but I thought I would post it here myself like I usually do.

I used RWL34 steel for the blade, it has both flat and hollow grind and is about 22cm (8.9").

The handle is made with stabilized birch burl, pewter spacers and oxidized copper.

The details on the sheath are also oxidized copper.

Overall lenght is about 36cm (14.5") and weighs about 350 grams (0.77lbs)

Thank you Lorien for the opportunity to work on this project with you, it has been a true pleasure!

Lorien named it Stormy Weather:

Canada thanks you! :) That's a fantastic package - knife and sheath both. It was a lot of fun watching it come together.

It's absolutely stunning. I'm sure Lorien is busting at the seams waiting to receive this one. Congratulations to both of you.

very slick looking piece and well thought out design and perfectly executed. would fit nicely in any collection. always enjoy seeing your creations.

Spectacular! one of the most different well designed knives I have seen in a long time. I want to see the hands that made this knife. Jason

Thank you all very much for your kind words!
Very inspiring and even more appreciated!

Thank you Jason!
To be honest though, my hands might not be all that much to see... ;)

VERY nicely done on all levels Magnus! Knife and sheath look fantastic.

That is an interesting document in the pictures. Does it have a specific significance? I noticed as "brass founders and machinists" they also fabricated bicycles. COOL!

Peter

dang Peter, I totally missed that:o Too absorbed in the knife I guess:) Good eye

Working with Magnus on this was hands down one of the most significant experiences in my life when it comes to knives. And definitely the most enjoyable by far.

Thank you Magnus!

Lorien - in one photo there is a date of 1885 it appears! Imagine the bikes they were making then:D It's an interesting document, but not as much so as this project has been. It has been a great experience for many of us....but you have that bad boy on its way to you! CONGRATS!

Peter

thank you Peter:)

This one kinda leaves me without words. I loved the design, the wood, everything as soon as I started seeing Lorien's pics. But here, the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. And the colors are just magic!

A real stunner, Magnus.

Bob

Wow quite a STUNNER Magnus! The copper fitting on the sheath are magnificent as, of course, are the knife itself. A very singular personality to that knife....

Cal

Thank you Betzner and Calhoon for your comments, allways very appreciated!

Thank you!
Nicely spoted there Peter! :) I angled a few of the shots just to get that text in line to be able to read!
I would like to say that it has some significance but I can't. My wife and I saw the fabric in a store and we both wanted it. She says it will become a pillow case...

Thank you Lorien!! This has been a very nice collaboration indeed, one that was very interesting and equally rewarding in so many ways!
