This one is going off to a BF member (Rock6) who is serving in Afghanistan. he bought one of OffTheMapCustoms Bushcrafters (also a member) and needed some pants.

I spent some time with the knife and then made a quad carry for him. He gave me a lot of lee-way and I came up with what you see above. I took my time with it, sculpted it a lot more than I usually do, and did a two tone dye job on the Quad Carry portion.

I really like it an am proud of it. I wanted it done for 9/11 - but it took a little longer to dry than expected.

I hope Rock likes it.

I think you caught the styling just right for that knife. And the same for the dye job.

Looks really good. Nice and clean work.

How large is the belt loop part? I'm having some perspective problems. I guess I'm wondering how tight it is on the belt.

Thank you for the compliments.

The sheath loop for a horizontal carry is two inches and (with the knife) can handle a belt of a little over an inch and a half. The vertical carry is three inches to allow for a cant of the knife if needed even with a large belt.

The horizontal carry holds very tight to the belt and the rear portion of the belt loop allows from some flex. It has more room at the rear of the sheath due to the blade being thinner than the handle.

In the vertical carry it can cant and allows for a more flexible carry.

Looks good...I like that little radius you put on the inside btm. corner too.
Mo betta look IMO. Not-so-square-pants anymore.;)

Yup, for some reason I thought it was overall a bigger knife/sheath. That makes more sense and sounds perfect!:)

Yeah Ray, I know how you love those square sheaths! ;)

Wait till you see the one that is drying right now - NO square - it is for a Busse.

Hi. Can you send me an email (or PM) please? I cannot seem to be able to send you an email or PM. I have a question about making a sheath or 3 for me. Thanks, Dave
