Beautiful. I'm beginning to see why patrickb and others go for these higher priced knives. Dang, even the card looks cool. I could afford something like that if I bought only one knife a year. Maybe that's how I should do it. For now, though, I'm just filling my knife drawer with run-of-the-mill (but still nice)production stuff.

Funny you mention that. One thread stuck with me that I came across here. It read something like, "don't wake up one day and realize you've spend enough on several production knives that you could have had one or two nice customs."

While customs aren't for everyone, I certainly wanted one (well, there were a couple that caught my eye) but kept thinking I couldn't spend the money. In fact, when I decided to pass on the production knives I was after and put that money toward a nice custom, I actually did have the money. It just seemed easier to spend $500 in $100 increments, rather than dropping the $500 all at once. In the end, I'm much happier with the $500 knife than several less expensive models. But that's just me.
