do you have any info about the blade/handle materials? I particularly like the Townsend piece as it is very different and unusual which is rather to my liking. Dimension info is good too. Nice to see you gathering and adding to your basket of goodies.

Thanks Rolf and Murray.....I updated the descriptions, and yes, that Townsend is very unusual and definitely not my usual style.

Stephen,

The diversity of your collection(s) always surprises me.
Thanks for sharing and Congrats !
Are ye still working on the offshore rigs ? :)

Doug

Thanks Doug, you know me, if I like it I buy it. Still doing the same thing.

You are welcome, Stephen.
You remind of a dear friend who says; "I want that." And then he buys it!

Like I told you, dude, I'd have to wash my hands after touching the pasture wood piece. Lol

Hey Stephen.....pretty sure that 440C and 416 cannot be blued....it may be a coating, or it might not be stainless steel....just thinking out loud.

That Townsend is awesome, John was a pretty good friend of mine, and I was greatly saddened when he passed away.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Congrats on the new additions Steven. I'm a fan of Roeder's work and hope to add a piece some day.

155440--no smell at all, it smells of beauty lol
Steven--Appreciate the info, bought it from a not very knowledgeable source and thanks. Always admired JW's work.
Roger--thanks and yes, David does great work!!

I think its Heat colored Stainless, not blued. I remember hearing that somewhere about Roeder's work.
Thanks for sharing ! I do love that Roeder knife ! lol...

Hello, I saw you were a friend of J.W. Townsend. I have an original. I would like to know more info about it. I'm sure I saw it on a knife magazine cover some years back but I have not been able to reproduce even that. Do you have at least a beginning place to search for info on his knives or even the history of his work? Thanks.
